He completed his MBBS from Medical College Kolkata in 2001. He went on to do his MD (General Medicine) from the Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research (IPGMER, SSKM Hospital)in Kolkata and completed it in 2006.
In order to attain specialized knowledge, in 2010, he completed a Doctor of Medicine (DM) in Endocrinology from the Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research (IPGMER, SSKM Hospital) located in Kolkata.
Additionally, he has been a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology (FACE) since 2015.
He was awarded the AV Gandhi Gold Medal for Excellence in Endocrinology in 2010.
