• Dr. Athikom Methathien is a highly accomplished spine surgeon with over 22 years of experience in orthopedic and spine surgery.
• Dr. Methathien has performed over 3000 spine surgeries throughout his career.
• His areas of expertise include treating a wide range of spinal conditions, such as degenerative disc disease, kyphosis, scoliosis, spinal tumors, and spinal stenosis.
• The doctor is skilled in both open and minimally invasive spine surgery techniques, including:
  • Anterior cervical discectomy fusion (ACDF)

• He received his MD degree from Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University in 2002.
• Dr. Methathien completed his orthopedic surgery residency training at Rajavithi Hospital in 2009 and later underwent specialized spine surgery fellowship training from the same institute in 2013.
• He has received extensive training in scoliosis and deformity surgery at the Scoliosis Zentrum in Germany, as well as training in minimally invasive spine surgery at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf in Germany.
