The doctor started his educational journey with an MBBS from Sambalpur University Institute of Information Technology, Odisha, in 1983 and an MD in General Medicine from Bangalore University in 1990.
Later, he specialized in managing neurological disorders by pursuing a DM in Neurology from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, in 1995.
Dr. Mukherji is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP), Edinburgh, UK.
He has received special training in the treatment of multiple sclerosis in Switzerland.
