Dr. Gopi Chand Khilnani is a Pulmonologist, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine Specialist with over 42 years of experience.
After completing his MBBS from the University of Rajasthan in 1978, he also achieved an MD (Medicine) from the University of Rajasthan in 1982.
He did a fellowship in critical care from Mount Sinai Medical School, New York, USA.
He was also Head and professor of the Department of Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Disorders at AIIMS New Delhi.
He is the chairman of the credential committee of the Indian Society of Critical Care & Medicine and a member of the governing body of the Indian Chest Society.
He was vice president of the National College of Chest physician (2007-2009), president (for two terms) of the National College of Chest physician (2011-2013), chairman of the credential committee of the Indian Society of Critical Care Med. (2011-13), member of the council of regents for seven years of the American college of chest physician, Member Executive council of Indian society of critical care medicine (2008-10), and member governing body of Indian chest society (2015-17).
He is also the senior editor of Critical Care: Lung India & and a member of many editorial boards like the Journal of Critical Care Medicine, Indian Journals of Chest Disease, and Allied Sciences Indian.
