About Dr. Govind Nandakumar

• Dr. Govind Nandakumar is a senior surgical gastroenterologist and clinical oncologist.
• With a career spanning over 24 years, his areas of expertise include surgical gastroenterology, gastrointestinal oncology, and minimal access surgery. 
• His areas of interest in the latest GI surgery include robotics, colon and dorsal surgery, laparoscopy, and HPB surgery.
• He has earned great acclaim for carrying out hepato-biliary-pancreatic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, upper and lower gastrointestinal surgery, and colorectal surgery.
• He is particularly interested in the treatment of inflammatory bowel illness as well as treatment for liver cancers. 
• Dr. Nandakumar holds a BSc. from the University of Michigan, USA, and an MD from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. 
• He has also completed fellowships from the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
