Dr. K. Shyamnath Krishna Pandian is a plastic surgeon with over 28 years of experience in healthcare.
His areas of expertise include reconstructive hand and microsurgery, reconstructive cancer surgery, aesthetic plastic surgery, cleft lip and palate surgery, and surgery for acute burns and post burn sequelae.
Dr. Pandian completed his MBBS at PSG Institute of Medical Science and Research, Coimbatore in 1998.
He then earned his DNB in General Surgery from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi in 2007 followed by an MCh in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from Madras Medical College, Chennai in 2013.
To enhance his skills further, he obtained training in microsurgery and burns treatment from renowned institutions in Cochin and Mumbai.
He has attended over ten vasectomy camps and used the no scalpel vasectomy (NSV) technique at Thoothukudi District Hospitals.
In 2009, Dr. Pandian was awarded the District Collector Award for playing a significant part in controlling a diarrhea outbreak in Ottapidaram, Thoothukudi District.
His aptitude for research is visible from his many publications in well-known journals such as the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
He has presented several papers at national conferences such as APSICON and ASICON.
His professional memberships include prestigious organizations such as the Indian Society for Surgery of the Hand (ISSH) and the National Academy of Burns-India (NABI).
