Previously, she held the presidency of both the National Indian Academy of Neurology and the Delhi Neurological Association, and presently, she occupies the role of the inaugural President of the Movement Disorders Society of India.
She has been recognized with prestigious accolades, including the Woman Bio-scientist award from the Government of India and the Innovation in Science award from the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.
Additionally, she plays a significant role in the global neurology community, serving as the Chairperson of the Education Committee for the International Society of Movement Disorders and Parkinson's Disease and as a member of various other committees within the organization.
