Dr. P. M. Gopinath is a gynecologist and infertility specialist with over 45 years of experience in healthcare.
His special interest lies in the preservation of fertility in younger cancer patients.
He has performed over 50,000 normal and operative deliveries, 30,000 laparoscopies, 10,000 C-sections, 10,000 hysterectomies, 10,000 hysteroscopies, 500 gynecological malignancy surgeries, 500 proximal tubal canalizations, 500 microsurgical tubal reanastomosis, and 500 varicocelectomies.
His experience includes conducting over 1,00,000 follicular monitorings, 50,000 USGs, 5,000 intrauterine inseminations, 1,000 testicular biopsies, 1,000 ART cycles, and 200 intracytoplasmic sperm injections.
Having performed over 550 procedures, which is the highest in the world, he has led the way in introducing the thermal ablation technique.
Dr. Gopinath completed his medical education at Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai, where he completed his MBBS, DGO, and MD in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
He holds fellowships from prestigious institutions such as the International College of Surgeons (FICS) and the Federation of Obstetric and Gynecological Societies of India (FICOG).
Along with his medical education, he earned his MBA in Health Services Management at Anna University, Chennai.
To further hone his skills, he underwent training for endoscopy, ART, IVF, infertility, and video colposcopy at various reputed institutions in Australia, Germany, France, England, and Singapore.
For his contributions to in-vitro fertilization in South India, he was awarded the ICON of the Year.
Dr. Gopinath is a distinguished researcher and has published several articles in well-known journals such as the International Journal of Medical Research & Health Sciences and the Onco Fertility Journal.
