Dr. Poochong Timratana is an expert in obesity and weight loss surgery with over 31 years of profound experience.

He obtained his MD from the Faculty of Medicine at Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University in Thailand, in 1993.
In 1998, he earned a Diploma from The Thai Board of Surgery.
Dr. Timratana further completed a Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic and Endoscopic Surgery at the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University in 2009.
This was followed by a Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery at the Bariatric and Metabolic Institute, Cleveland Clinic Educational Foundation, Ohio, USA, in 2012.
In 2013, he finished a Fellowship in Esophageal Surgery at the Division of Thoracic and Foregut Surgery, Department of Surgery, University of Rochester Medical Center, New York, USA.
He also pursued clinical training in laparoscopic, bariatric, and esophageal surgery.
