  • His educational qualifications include an MBBS from G B Pant Hospital / Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, 1981, and an MS (General Surgery) from G B Pant Hospital / Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, 1986
  • He also earned a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS), UK, in 1987 and underwent specialized training in Vascular Surgery in the UK.
  • He established one of India’s initial independent Vascular Surgery Departments in 1990.
