• In 2011, gave a "Master class on Rhinoplasty" in Vancouver, Canada.
• Received the Peet Prize for the Best paper presented titled "Salvage of Chronic Limb Ischaemia by Microvascular omental auto Transplantation" at the Annual Conference of Association of Plastic Surgeons of India in Goa in 1999.
• Awarded the Gold Medal by Punjab University for MBBS at CMC Ludhiana, Punjab University in 1983.
• Achieved Distinction in MS (Surgery) at CMC Ludhiana, Punjab University, in 1980.

Dr Khazanchi has undertaken 22 research projects, published over 60 papers in national and international journals, contributed four chapters in textbooks, and edited and authored a book on Plastic Surgery for General Surgeons.
