After completing his MBBS from Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in 1997, he also achieved an MS (General Surgery) from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, 2003.
He completed advanced training in Robotic Thoracic Surgery at the Minimally Invasive Robotic Association, San Diego, California, USA.
Additional training includes Laparoscopic Surgery at PGIMER, Chandigarh, and All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, as well as General Thoracic Surgical Procedures and Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery at AIIMS, New Delhi.
