Dr. Siddhartha Bhattacharya is one of Kolkata’s most reputed laparoscopic surgeons.
In his 16 years of experience, he has performed numerous surgeries, including 200+ bariatric surgeries.
He is highly proficient in laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair (TEP and TAPP, laparoscopic ventral hernia repair, laparoscopic upper GI surgery, and laparoscopic hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery (gallstones, CBD stones, hydatid cysts, and pancreatic tumors).
He is also known for carrying out laparoscopic colorectal surgeries, laparoscopic splenectomy, emergency laparoscopy, laparoscopic diaphragmatic hernia repair, and lap appendicectomy.
Dr. Bhattacharya did his MBBS from Bharat Vidyapeeth Medical College, Pune, in 2008.
He did his MS in General Surgery from the Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research (IPGMER SSKM Hospital), Kolkata, in 2013 while also receiving his DNB in General Surgery from the National Board.
Dr. Bhattacharya continued with Training in Advanced Laparoscopy at the Gem Hospital & Research Center, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
He also did a Fellowship of the National Board (FNB) in Minimal Access Surgery and another Fellowship in Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery at the GEM Obesity & Diabetes Centre, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
Alongside surgeries and patient care, he has authored many chapters in different books on Advanced Laparoscopy & Bariatric Surgery. He has published in many reputed journals as well.
