He has actively contributed to advanced clinical research on new molecules and Biological agents for conditions such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, and SLE (lupus).
He played a pivotal role as a team member in formulating guidelines for Rheumatoid Arthritis treatment.
Dr. Upadhyaya was a member of the team involved in the IRA guidelines for Rheumatoid Arthritis treatment.
After completing his MBBS from the University Of Allahabad in 1992, he also achieved an MD (Medicine) from the University Of Allahabad in 1995 and a DM (Clinical Immunology) from the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, in 1998.
He is a regular contributor to CMEs, lectures, and education of other doctors in the fields of modern medicine, rheumatology, spondylitis and arthritis, lupus, and other connective tissue diseases.
