- Dr. Praharaj was given the opportunity to treat Nobel Laureate Mother Teresa in 1993 and 1996. He performed stent angioplasty on a 94-year-old man, one of India’s oldest surviving patients, and celebrated his 101 birthday in 2011. He also performed the implantation of a drug-coated stent on a 75-year-old lady, which was the first-ever procedure of its kind in India.
- He did his MBBS from the VSS Medical College, Sambalpur University, in 1983. He completed his MD in cardiology at Phil. Heart Center Q.C. Philippines in 1988, followed by FACC from the American College of Cardiology in 2000. He has several fellowships to his educational qualification.
